Hello, I am Anna. My passion (sounds corny, but its true!) is to make people happier and healthier by introducing them to fitness, yoga and healthy nutrition. I have been practicing yoga for 7 years and now am Qualified Yoga Alliance Teacher RYT200 as well as hold a full diploma in Personal Training,
A bit more about me…
I am a British/Russian and have lived almost equal amounts of my life now in both the countries, before moving to Paris 2 year ago. I have a background in corporate career, but I packed it in and quit my job to become a health and fitness professional 3 years ago when I qualified as a yoga teacher as well as a personal trainer and nutrition consultant. Aside of my work-related passions, I love photography and design. I love trying to understand contemporary art, and spotting street art. I also love being outdoors, mountains, sea, forests, – all give me great pleasure to explore, especially when I’m doing something active with a great group of friends.
I Have been into sports and fitness from a young age. Growing up in a very sporty family (my dad is ex-elite decathlete, and my mum owns and runs a successful fitness centre for over 20 years.) I always got involved in and loved everything my parents did, and after getting a degree in Business Management in the UK and a brief stint in the corporate world I realised that my true professional calling was my lifelong passion for sports and fitness. I then quit my job and re-trained as a Personal Trainer, nutrition consultant, aqua-fitness instructor and then went to India where I trained to become a yoga teacher and reiki healer. After coming back from India I moved to France where I saw a need for affordable health and wellbeing and shortly after founded Affordable Yoga, where I now work full time.
There has been tremendous support and interest in this initiative so I have lots of exciting plans of expansion into different locations and adding new exciting services. If there isn’t something yet on offer that completely suits your needs in terms of time and location, please follow keep checking back for news!
Katie is from Denver, CO and was brought appropriately to Paris, the city of love, in 2013 by following her heart and marrying a Frenchman.
She has been a certified yoga teacher since 2012 when she completed a 200-hour program with Core Power Yoga, a Yoga Alliance registered studio. She later finished training programs with Next Generation Yoga for Kids, to share her practice with younger yoginis, and The Institut de Gasquet for pre and post-natal yoga.
During her yoga classes, one can expect to have a light hearted and playful session while maintaining the integrity of yogic tradition. She purposefully centers each class around a theme, encouraging everyone, including herself, to take the practice deeper than the physical level and to take what they have gained during the session out the door with them. To follow Katie’s regular teaching schedule, please subscribe to the group: Katie’s Yoga on Facebook:
Colleen is finding a new rhythm in Paris and enjoys learning her way around the city by jogging. "It's the best way to learn my new home and all of the hidden shops, art and treasures that the typical guides don't mention."
Colleen received her 200 hour Teacher Training through CorePower Yoga in Portland, OR. "I wanted to take my training from my favorite studio before moving to Paris. Walking in to this studio 15 years ago changed my opinion about yoga and has inspired me to pass it on."

The format for Benjamin’s classes has been well-described as ‘Rainbow Yoga’, meaning that the seven Chakra energy centers within each of our bodies are the foundation and focus of his series. These resonating energetic vortexes are paired with appropriate traditional yoga postures to awaken and purify the physical as well as energy bodies. The seven Elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Sound, Light and Thought are also incorporated for a joyful time of self-healing, counterbalance, and exploration of the infinite Here and Now.
While it may sound different from the standard class structure, students find Benjamin’s offering as a delightful addition to their regular yoga practice and an excellent opportunity to expand their daily routine.
For more information on Benjamin's additional activities, check out his MeetUp group: http://www.meetup.com/Namaste-Adventures/
Eliza moved to Paris in 2009 to further her training as an actress specializing in clown, mime, acrobatics and physical theatre.
Eliza grew up in Melbourne, Australia surfing, sailing, running, swimming, and all-round being outdoors. As a youth she competed as a gymnast in Victoria and afterwards moved towards soccer, hockey and netball. Realizing to her dismay that ball sports were not her forte, she was drawn to long distance running, athletics and rowing.
It was the boot camp style fitness training that she received that she loved the most. She loves to motivate people to achieve their goals, improve their well being and overall fitness and health. She is passionate about fitness and health, currently also training as a drama therapist, a vegetarian herself, and is keen to share this passion with others through her boot camp classes!
Students can expect a group training program that focuses on a full body work out including cardio and strength training. The group atmosphere will accomodate those who need that extra motivation to work out, complimented with the great social aspect.
An actress to the core, you can be sure that Eliza’s classes will be well animated!
Louise is originally from England, where she grew up in beautiful Cornwall. In 2001 she moved over to Brittany and in 2009 Louise moved to Paris for her job as store manager in an organic Naturalia shop. After leaving this stressful and exhausting job, Louise decided to stay and teach yoga in Paris.
She loves to travel, to meet new people, discover places, ideas, and collecting recipes where ever she goes.
In 2015, Louise followed one of her inspiring teachers in a ten week ayurveda course, the Dinacharya, where she discovered the basics of ayurveda and how to bring it into everyday life to live a more peaceful, happy and healthy life. She has also studied crystal healing, Korean relaxation massage and Reiki.
As much as possible Louise moves from the heart when on the mat, she also reminds herself regularly to smile and have fun !
In the past few years, breath work and mantra have eased themselves into her practice, as well as self massage and gratitude.
In each class Louise focuses on alignment, grounding and expanding. Falling over, cracking joints and laughter are all welcome in her classes which begin with intention and finish in gratitude.
Also, as a student of Ayurvedic medicine, Gillian finds much joy in working with homeopathy as an alternative way of healing that is complementary to modern medicine. As a Reiki master, she has practiced the healing arts through touch and the redirection of energy in the body.

Helene is a typical "Parisienne" since she lived in the city for 22 years now, but her heart is in Brittany by the ocean. She loves long walks to observe the changing lights of nature and taking pictures, as her first job is photographer. She is also a big fan of vegan cooking, always trying new recipes for her friends and family, especially cakes ! :)
Helene discovered the benefits of yoga after practicing martial arts intensively, which left her with several tendinitis, prohibiting her from any sport although she was a big fan of surfing... Yoga has allowed her to relieve her pain and has taught her to get in touch with herself, as well as her physical and mental abilities. Yoga also provided valuable emotional balance in an intense city as Paris.
With 10 years of regular Vinyasa practice at Gerard Arnaud Studio, she decided to deepen her knowledge and followed the initial training of the French Federation of Yoga with Gérard Arnaud in 2015 (RYT 200). Helene also benefited from the knowledge of the perineum thanks to Dr. Bernadette de Gasquet during her two pregnancies. She specialized in the same year in prenatal and post natal yoga at the Institute De Gasquet. She is now happy to care for women before and after childbirth through the method © APOR (Postural-Respiratory Approach).
Helene loves teaching Vinyasa for the accuracy and precision of its alignments. She pays special attention to detailed asanas while respecting the morphology and respective capabilities, in order to avoid injuries or long-term chronic pain.
In prenatal she attaches great importance to listening and welfare moms because she believes conception, pregnancy and birth are the major elements that determine the future life of a human being. So helping to relieve the pain of pregnancy through fair postures, increasing awareness among mothers of the importance of breathing to relax and improve the welfare of the baby are part of the tasks she has set herself in life.
Helene will be teaching in French and English. Feel comfortable with her to ask what you prefer.

Marybeth’s passion is to inspire others through movement and and self-healing. She brings more than 18 years of experience, experimentation, and creativity to her playful Nia practice. As a teacher, Marybeth fosters a non-judgmental environment, empowering participants to listen to their bodies and to live with greater vitality, joy, and connection. Marybeth’s interest in self-healing and energy led her to the practice of Reiki. She has found her Reiki training to have a subtle yet vast impact on her Nia practice. Marybeth is a wife, mother, daughter, and friend, who uses awareness and joy to spread love and fun into the universe. She loves to travel the world and her motto is “Rock on!”

Over the years, Linn has spent a lot of time in retreat, including a three-month solitary retreat in the Rocky Mountains. She is a Vajrayana practitioner, well versed in the Tibetan tantric tradition, and she is a certified Meditation Instructor.
Linn is a professional violinist who studied and lived in London for seven years. She volunteered as a music teacher in the Amazon region of Northern Brazil, before deciding to move to Paris in 2013, where she now works as a violin teacher and performer.
When she is not playing music or meditating you'll most likely find her either on a horseback or in a salsa club...!
She loves the practice of yoga simply because you can start wherever you are. It does not matter what injuries one has, how much one can bring hands to touch the toes or how many handstands one can do in a minute. As long as you want to, you can, but with adequate lessons and attention. With 6 years of yoga teaching and 11 years of mat practice, she is extremely humbled to guide yogis in Paris through the knowledge she has received from her teachers over the years.
Her influence includes teachings from the Anusara method, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, Jivamukti and AcroYoga.
Yun does not currently teach any regular classes with us.
Nadine, originally from Montpellier in the South of France, has been living in Paris for 20 years. Passionate about languages and traveling, she has had the chance to visit, live, and work in several different countries.
Always curious about discovering and experiencing the different forms of movement, she has practiced Ballet, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, and Flamenco as well as Kung Fu and Capoeira. To Nadine, our bodies are extraordinary tools for expression, and sometimes it just takes some time and practice to find our own.
By chance, she discovered Nia through a workshop in 2012 and she instantly loved it! Within one single Nia class, one can dance, practice martial arts, have fun, express oneself in a safe and non-judgmental environment, and get a taste of Yoga and relaxation. So, in 2015, she earned her White Belt to be able to teach, and she started the extraordinary adventure of sharing Nia with students.
What does she like most when teaching Nia? To communicate her joy of dancing to the students, to provide them with the freedom of moving in their own ways, and to see the smiles lighting up their faces.
Nadine is currently not teaching any regular classes with us.
